Our new friend/cousin Marion Frost has not been to Clark Cemetery in many years. Some memories are to hard to overcome. Getting ready for the landscapers tomorrow Kathy and I were trying to figure out where plots are located. We had been asked to locate the Hinkley plot and see if we could find any tombstones. We were successful in finding Isaac Hinkley.
He was born in 1847 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He married Celia Ann Clark, the daughter of Gorham and Sarah Clark who are also buried in Clark’s Cemetery. Isaac worked as a fisherman. They had 6 children: Alice Frances, Annie Stacy, Charles Dodge, Mary, Edith, and Guy. His wife, Celia died in 1901. Isaac married again in 1903. He married Charlotte (Perry) Whitney. Celia is also buried in Clark’s Cemetery, probably with Isaac. Will be looking for her on Monday.
