Clark’s Cemetery and a large area of city property behind Clark’s has been overtaken by Japanese Knotweed. For the cemetery to be a respectful final resting place this vegetation infestation must be controlled. This attack on Knotweed will be multi-phased and includes constant cutting and the use of herbicides that are approved for use in wetlands. The cemetery is currently identified as being within a 100 foot buffer zone of a wetland.
If you are have your own issues with Japanese Knotweed you might want to look at the Rockport Garden Club’s website for what they are doing to control this evil weed.
